Adah Blinzinger, 90, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Perry County on February 18, 1923 to the late James E. and Rosa M. (Anderson) Hinton.
A graduate of Tell City High School, Adah retired from General Electric. She was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, watching her hummingbirds and quilting. She was married May 25, 1947 to Ralph Blinzinger, who precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death is her son, Kenny Blinzinger; sisters, Lucille Kelly, Mary Wallenmeyer and Lilly Hinton in infancy; brothers, Bill, John, Earl and Kenny Hinton.
Surviving are her children, Bev Esarey and Carl (Liz) Blinzinger, all of Tell City; daughter-in-law; Barbara Blinzinger of Tell City; sisters, Frieda Seabolt of Sun City, AZ, Alice Criss of Lamar and Ruth Huff of Tell City; grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Lane, Jamie (Andy) Hoesli, Derek and Courtney Blinzinger, all of Tell City; great-grandchildren, Noah and Emerson Hoesli and Kendall Lane
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. CST on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Deer Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby and Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and Wednesday 9:00 -10:15AM at the funeral home.
