Adolph J. Gogel, 86, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dale, IN. He was born in Addyville, IN on June 17, 1928 to the late Henry and Carolina (Miller) Gogel.
Also preceding him in death is his first wife, Elise (Beck) Gogel; sisters, Lorina Cox, Hellen Algier, Freida Gogel, and Henrietta Fischer, and a brother, Werner Gogel.
Adolph was married on August 27, 1977 to Georgann (Englert) Kline. He retired as owner and operator of the Charles Chips franchise, had worked at General Electric and was a lifelong farmer.
Adolph was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Georgann Gogel of Tell City; children, Larry Gogel of Bloomington, Gary (Lavonne) Gogel of Santa Claus, Joe (Karen) Gogel of Tell City, Grant (Billie Jo) Gogel of Lamar, Annette (Jeff) Leone of Berea, Ky and Bill (Holly) Kline, Jr. of Fischers; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM CST Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Sengole Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM CST at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. On Monday, prior to Mass, a reception with meal will be held from 11:30AM- 1:00PM at St. Paul Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Church.
