Alfred Toothman Obituary

Alfred Toothman, 89 passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

He was born November 7, 1926 to Clarence and Annie (Marshall) Toothman.

Alfred served in the Army and worked as a custodian at St. Paul School. He was united in marriage on August 19, 1947 to Evelyn Lawalin.

Surviving are his children, Darrell Toothman (Jeannie), Sheila James (Tiger), Mark Toothman, and Jim Toothman all of Tell City; Dallas Toothman (Raeann) of Mt. Carmal, IN, and Sherri Weber (Dean) of Boonville, IN. Sisters, Delores Calkin (Charles) and Imogene Hawhee both of Fresno, CA. He has 12 Grandchildren, Christopher Toothman, Teri James, Kelley Jackson, Matthew Toothman, Kara Knable, Nicholas and Jay Toothman, Allie Silvernale, Cody and Zachary Toothman, Beau and Tyler Weber. There are 10 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his sister, Mary Mangus.

Funeral services will be at 10am CST Monday, September 19, 2016 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18 from 2-7pm and Monday 8:30-10am at the funeral home.
