Alice Christian Obituary

Nora Alice Christian, 85, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at home, surrounded by her family.

Alice was born in Breckenridge County, KY on November 8, 1929 to the late Bevie (Nottingham) and James Harper.

She retired in 1990 from General Electric. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Deborah (Donald) Litherland of Tell City, IN, Patricia (Wayne) Cook of Hawesville, KY, Sandra Clark of Owensboro, KY and Brenda (Roger) Masterson of Owensboro, KY; a brother, Ronnie (Susie) Harper of Harned, KY; 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Hendershot; second husband, Chris Christian; son, Larry Hendershot; sisters, Shirley Neyenhaus and Rudell Leslie; a brother, James Garland Harper; and a granddaughter, Edwina Hendershot-Yeager.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00AM CST at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM and Monday, 9:00- 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
