Amy Marie Gerlach, 90, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Tell City.
She was born August 13, 1925 to the late Eli and Stella (Rogier) Claise. Also preceding her in death are her husband, Paul Gerlach; a son, Allen Gerlach; two grandchildren, Bryan Gerlach and Samuel Deom; sisters, Clara Peter and Mary Dauby; brothers, Earl, Andrew, James, John, Everett, Louis, Ernest, Ralph, Frank and Leonard Claise.
Amy retired from General Electric where she worked for 42 years. She was a member of St. Paul Church. She enjoyed canning, going to yard sales and being with family.
Surviving are her children, Vickie Deom (Paul) of Tell City, Paul Gerlach (Sharon) of Evanston, Dennis "Mark" Gerlach of Tell City and Mike Gerlach (Tina) of Troy; sister-in-law, Helen Rothgerber of Tell City; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Klem (Jason), Nick Gerlach (Lina Dooley), Emily Klein (Adam), Maria Shouse (Mike), Eli Gerlach (Tiffaney), Adam Deom, Mallory Ewing (Shawn), Michael Gerlach (Ashley Tempel) and Tapanga Gerlach; ten great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon CST on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Paul Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-8pm and Thursday 10-11:30am.
