Barbara J. Hagedorn, 82, formally of Tell City, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at IU Health in Indianapolis.
She was born on March 20th, 1932 to the late Clarence and Nellie Howland. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Dennis Raymond Hagedorn; a son, Dennis Joseph Hagedorn; and brother, Ralph "Jack" Howland.
She was well known for her local Tell City restaurant and town hot spot, Barb’s. After her husband’s passing, she moved to Indianapolis where she dedicated her time to her grandchildren, jigsaw puzzles, and feeding her furry and feathered friends.
Surviving are her children, Vickie (Doug) Robbins, Rosa (Mike) Jones, Julie (Barry) Fischer, Brett (Nanette) Hagedorn and Holly (Paul) Page; 11 grandchildren, Randy, Dana, Joe, Danny, Kelly, Amy, Taylor, Dominique, Megan, Isabella and Michael; and 9 great-grandchildren; Sister Martha Young of Tell City.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM CST on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Father Tom Richstatter, O.F.M. will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00-7:00Pm and Wednesday from 9:00AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis, 7929 N.
