Bessie Virginia (Little) Taylor, 95, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Perry County on November 3, 1918 to the late Edward and Anna (Smith) Little.
She was married on July 6, 1936 to Roy Taylor, who precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death is her daughter, Marjorie Price; granddaughter, Debbie Greulich; sisters, Esther Sumner and Mary Bowman; brothers, Shirley, Junior, Robert, Theodore and Richard Little.
Bessie retired from General Electric 1980, she was a charter member of Tell Street Baptist Church and former member of Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and praying. She volunteered her time at the Harvest House and Golden Living Center.
Surviving are daughters, Jean Spurlock of Lincoln City and Bonnie Weber of Tell City; a sister, Martha Smith of Grandview; seven grandchildren, Dean, Chris and Brad Weber, Kim Hensley, Kelly Helms, Mike Spurlock and Karen Spellmeyer; 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. Ryan James will officiate. Burial will follow in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tell Street Baptist Church or the George Little Cabin at Shubael Little Pioneer Village.
