Betty Kellems Obituary

Betty Ann Kellems, 77, of Newburgh, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Select Hospital in Evansville.

She was born in Jasper, IN on November 5, 1937 to the late Catherine (Peters) and Elmer Rhodes. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Lucille Carter, and brother, Lawrence Rhodes.

She was married May 5, 1962 to Lowell D. Kellems. They were married for 52 years. Betty had worked 27 years at St. Mary's Medical Center as a nurse's aid.

Surviving is her husband, Lowell Kellems of Newburgh; son Terry Joe Kellems, Sr., and wife Lisa of Newburgh; a sister, Rosella Wilson of Tell City; brother, Gervase Rhodes of Evansville; three grandchildren, Krissta Koester, Terry Joe Kellems, Jr., and Evan Kellems; four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Maggie, Jake, and Levi Koester.

Funeral serivces will be at 11:00 AM CST, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, Tell City. Father Thomas Richstatter, OFM will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bristow.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
