Charles “Charlie” Edward Kuntz, 86, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Troy, IN on October 18, 1928 to the late Frances (Gramelspacher) and Albert Kuntz.
Charlie was a Korean Army veteran. He retired as an electrician from Troy Utilities, where he was superintendent. He was a member of Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club and enjoyed woodworking, fox and coon hunting.
Surviving is his wife, Mary (Kellems) of Troy; children, Renee Thomas and husband, Richard of Newtonville, Rosemary Kuntz of Tell City and Michael Charles Kuntz and wife, Debbie of Evanston; a brother, Louis Kuntz of Tell City; sister, Verna Fugit of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Trixie Garner, Sally Boyd, Wendy Roessler, Troy Feldpausch, Courtney Kuntz, Dane Thomas and Cody Kuntz; 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and siblings, Ella Mae Mann, Alberta Harpe, Leona Garman, Bernice Carter and “Susie” Clara Harris.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CST on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Brother David Nix will officiate. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM and Monday Noon until service time at the funeral home.
