Clara Maye Claise, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday;, December 7, 2012.
She was born October 25, 1926 to Henry and Mary (Alvey) Coultas.
Clara was married on October 7, 1947 to Delmar Claise. They were married for 65 years. She had worked several years at Alvey’s Cleaners. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and V.F. W. Post 2939 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mom and mammaw. She was very intuitive to her family’s needs and always put others before herself. She had a love for each and every one of us that was deeply felt and unfaltering.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Delmar Claise of Tell City; children, Jacci Claise, Jayne Glenn and husband, Bob, all of Tell City, Karen Oost and her partner, Barry Taylor of Derby and Harry Claise and wife, Angie of Cannelton; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie Hazelip, Christina Gogel, Tammy Harris, Heather Glenn, Jason Glenn, Melissa Dauby, Amanda Carter, Chad Oost, Ashley Claise, Christopher Lawalin, Hunter and Jacob Claise; 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is a daughter, Becky Smith; her parents and siblings, Bill, Leslie, Arthur and Harry Coultas, Eva Lawrence and Violet Shadwick
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 10, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00-7:00P.M. and Monday from 8:30-9:30A.M. at the funeral home.
