Clarence Rogier, 86, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at The Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, IN.
Clarence was born March 4, 1930 to the late Ernest and Emma (Naviaux) Rogier.
He was united in marriage on August 21, 1954 to the former Mildred Hinkle.
Clarence was a Korean War Army veteran and served as the Veterans Service Officer of Perry County from 1986-2004. He had worked as a lineman for Perry County REA and later owned and operated C&W Plumbing from 1968-1984. He was a member of St. Paul Church and served as past presidents for both the American Legion Post 213 and VFW Post 2939.
Clarence enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a squirrel and bird enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Rogier of Georgetown, IN; a son, Dan (Kate) Rogier of Columbus, OH; daughter, Cheryl Duke of New Albany, IN; three grandchildren, Samantha Rogers, Adam Rogier and Aaron Rogier; sisters, Ann Miller, Olive Sabelhaus and Hazel Wallace, all of Tell City, Edith Huebschman of Huntsville, AL, Freida and Rita Kessans, both of St. Marks, IN.
He is preceded in death by son-in-law Phil Duke; and a grandson-in-law, Eric Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 10AM CST on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Fr. Sengole Thomas G will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6pm and Monday 9-10am at the funeral home.
