Clifford Racine, 87, passed away at his residence in Evanston on June 16, 2017.
He was born March 2, 1930 to Henry C. and Johanna Fischer Racine of Evanston, Indiana.
Cliff was a 1948 graduate of Chrisney High School, served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Santa Claus American Legion.
He married Romella Harris Racine on August 29, 1958. He was a life-long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a self-employed farmer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing Euchre, fishing and hunting.
Surviving him is his wife; his daughter, Regina Schaefer (Kenny) of Tell City; his son, Randy Racine (Ann) of Tell City; and his sisters, Helen Pruitt of Albany, Georgia and Imogene Lahee of Tell City. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Hannah and Chris Schaefer and Dominic and Brian Bauer, and 2 great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Audrey Bauer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harold Racine.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Monday, June 19, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial immediately following in the Church Cemetery. Pastor Rodney Schmeltz will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon to 5 pm Sunday, June 18 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 am Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
