She was born in Tell City, IN June 28, 1926 to the late Clara (Genet) and Mark Marchal. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Louis Niehaus; sisters, Alvada Laflin and Regina Kleeman.
DeDe was retired from General Electric where she worked for 42 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, VFW Auxiliary and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. DeDe enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching the birds, caring for her flowers, her cats and dogs, and watching horse racing.
Surviving are nieces, Debbie Katterhenry, Jeanne Woolums, Karen Harth, Pam Leclere and Tina Carter; nephews, Mark and Terrill Laflin, Larry and Gary Kleeman.
The family wishes to express a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Perry County Memorial Hospital and Golden Living Center for taking such good care of DeDe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:0 AM CST Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Ben Rake will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 3:00-8:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00-10:00AM.
