Dick Jarboe, 73, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home in Tell City.
He was born in Tell City, IN on October 28, 1941 to the late Mildred (Gayer) and Thomas Jarboe.
Dick was united in marriage on June 29, 1963 to Mary Jane Lambert, who survives. He was the owner and operator of Dick and Paul's Body Shop and he retired from Southwire in 2008. Dick enjoyed traveling, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Jane Jarboe of Tell City; daughters, Kari Benningfield and husband, Chuck and Jill Lacy and husband, Dan, all of Tell City; a sister, Cinda Jarboe of The Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Trent and Taylor Benningfield and Chandler and Jana Lacy.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Kenneth Jarboe.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Evangelical United Church of Christ. Rev. JT Hills will officiate. A private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
There will be no visitation prior to the service. Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
