Doretha Horlander, 100, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Oakwood Health Campus.
She was born June 13, 1913 in Huntingburg, IN to the late Louis and Philomena (Henze) Arnold.
Doretha was married on May 30, 1938 to Paul Horlander, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Virginia Aldridge, Rosaline Kluesner, Esther Schank and Louise Smith; brothers, Ray, Herbert, Othmar and Carl Arnold.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Nativity Circle 710.
Surviving are her children, Paul Horlander of Tell City, IN, Ken Horlander and wife Lynn of Danville, IL and Peg McDaniel and husband Ty of Parrish, FL; sisters, Alice Wittmer and Mildred Williams of Tell City, IN; 6 grandchildren, Michele Croghan, Karen (Richard) Pearson, Dr. Kenneth (Dr. Anna Kao) Horlander, Chris (Leanor) Horlander, Dr. Angie Horlander and Dan (Dr. Jessica Stanis) Horlander; ten great-grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Tom Richstatter, OFM will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 3:00-6:00 P.M. and Monday 11:30 A.M until 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
