Doris Martin Obituary

Doris Martin, 87, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Tell City.

She was born on August 23, 1925 in Mansfield, IL to the late Fred and Inez (Hall) Cole.

She was married on June 27, 1942 to Harry Martin, who precedes her in death in 2011. Doris was a member of First Baptist Church and the Homemakers Club of Fennhaven. She enjoyed spending time with her family and bowling.

Surviving are her children, Peggy Wade and husband, Herb of Shamrock Lakes, IN, Rick Martin and wife, Donna, Tim Martin and wife, Peggy and Ron Martin and wife, Brenda, all of Tell City; a brother, William Cole of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Eric (Sheryl) Wade, Lisa Rhoton, Penny (Paul) Willmann, Brian (Shelly) Martin, Wayne (Chasity) Martin, Matt (Alison) Martin, Michelle (Will) Gibson, Nathan Martin, Jason Martin, Jeff (Windy) Martin and Justin (Kristen) Martin; 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Harry; infant sisters, Louise and Norma Cole and a brother, Fred Cole, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 8, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. Lee Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:30-7:30 P.M. and Monday 9:00 A.M. until service time at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Golden Living Center Resident Fund.
