Dorothy Conen Obituary
Dorothy Conen, 78, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born in Spencer County, IN on July 3, 1935 to the late Henry and Frieda (Polster) Lautner.
She was married on June 26, 1954 to John "Skip" Conen, who precedes her in death in 2011. Also preceding her in death is a son Steve Conen; her parents; a brother, Roland "Shorty" Lautner; and one step grandchild
Dorothy was retired from Best Chair and was a member of St. John Chrysostom Church where she sang in the Ladies Society Choir. She enjoyed reading and quilting.
Surviving are her children, Wesley Conen of Ferdinand; Dale Conen (Suzy) of New Boston, Shirley Begle (Tim) of Dale and Donna Gessner (Tony) of New Boston, a brother Richard Lautner of Chandler; ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM CST, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at St. John Chrysostom Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 11:00 AM -12:15PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.
