Edward Gerlach Obituary
Edward A. Gerlach, 91, passed away, Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
He was born in Tell City on August 18, 1922 to the late August and Frieda (Wittman) Gerlach. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Wilhelmina (Dutschke) Gerlach; brothers, Paul and Oscar Gerlach and a sister, Hilda Evrard.
He was a construction foreman for Can-Tex and a farmer. Edward was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and he enjoyed gardening, playing euchre and farming.
He is survived by his son, Eddie Gerlach and wife, Jayne of Evansville; a sister, Clara Staats of Tell City; grandchildren, Jessica and Nathaniel (Katlyn) Gerlach.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST Monday, June 2, 2014 at Evangelical United Church of Christ. Pastor JT Hills will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00-6:00PM and Monday from 10:00-11:00AM at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ Organ Fund.
