Effierea Gillean Obituary

Effierea Gillean, 93, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

She was born in Crump, TN on March 9, 1922 to the late Rufus and Jesse (Gladys) Plunk.

Effierea was united in marriage on October 28, 1949 to James Gillean, who procedes her in death. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Church and enjoyed attending church functions, spending time with her family and gardening.

Surviving are her children, Sue Sears, Judy Block, Paul Gillean, Glenda Faulkenberg and Veneta Rogier; sisters, Viola Boutwell and Leora Adams; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.

Preceding her in death was her husband, James; a son, Bill; brohters, Roscoe, Claude and James Plunk; and a sister, Lois Plunk.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM CDT on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Harold Nix will officiate. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 10:00AM - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
