Eileen Snyder, 87, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Tell City. She was born in Rockport, IN on April 14, 1924 to the late Leonard and Myrtle (Bailey) Coffey. Also preceding her in death are sons Larry Jacob and an infant son; first husband, John Gladhart, second husband, Wayman "Red" Thompson; brother Charles Coffey.
She was a member of Troy United Methodist Church. She and her second husband, Red were the owners of Red and Eileen’s Place in Troy. Eileen loved being with her family.
Surviving is her husband, Robert H. Snyder of Troy, IN; daughter, Janice (Bob) Braun of Evanston, IN; brother, Donald (Sue) Coffey of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Rob (Jill) Braun, Rick Braun, Kurt Jacob, Kristi (Kent) Hunter; three great grandchildren, Robyn, Toni and Evan Braun.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Troy United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
