Eloise Stiles Obituary
Eloise Stiles, 89, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Oakwood Health Campus.
She was born in Perry County on April 24, 1925 to the late Arthur and Arrillia (Haycraft) Newgent. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Henry Stiles; a sister, Artie Montgomery; and a brother, James "Tom" Newgent, and her dog, Sparky.
Eloise had worked at Ken-Rad, was a cook for the Wagon Wheel Café and Yaggi’s Bar & Grill and had also worked at Far Best Foods in Huntingburg. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and playing bingo. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving is her daughter, Linda Terry and husband, Ralph of Cannelton; granddaughters, Mandy Huff and husband, Josh of Cannelton and Julie Jones of Bowling Green, KY; great-grandchildren, , Daisy Suters, Dax Huff, Allison, Braden and Chase Jones; several nieces and nephews, and her very dear roommate, Hazel Bryant.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST Friday, May 30, 2014 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. Lee Shepherd will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM and Friday 9:00AM-service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
