Eugene Flamion Obituary
Eugene Flamion, 85, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Oakwood Health Campus.
He was born November 28, 1926 to the late Joseph and Jessie (DuPont) Flamion.
Eugene was an Army veteran of WWII. He was married on May 3, 1949 to Rose Cotton. He had worked at Tell City Chair Company and retired from U.S. Postal Service in 1987 after 27 years. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was an avid golfer.
Surviving is his wife, Rose Flamion of Tell City; son Stephen Flamion and wife, Cathy of Gilbertsville, KY; grandson, Chris Flamion and wife, Laura; sister, Joann Proebstel and husband, Miles of Tell City.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM CST at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Father Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will also be Sunday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
