Evelyn Crossley, 84, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born in Troy, IN on June 15, 1929 to the late Albert and Isabella (Gramelspacher) Ernst.
She was retired from Swiss Plywood and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Evelyn enjoyed bingo, reading and crafts.
She was married on March 1, 1949 to George Crossley, who precedes her in death in 1981. Also preceding her in death are children, Brian and Phyllis Crossley; twin sisters, Martina and Marcella Ernst and a brother, Marvin Ernst.
Surviving are her children, Rose Andrada of Riverside, CA, Russell (Lisa) Crossley of Springfield, OR, David (Sharlene) Crossley of Cannelton, Ron (Cathy) Crossley of Tell City, and Lynn (Bud) Cart of Ferdinand; sisters, Frieda James and Rovilla Lyons, both of Charlestown, IN; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM CST, Thursday, July 19, 2013 at St. Paul Church. Father Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home.
