Evelyn Garrett Obituary

Evelyn Louise (Rogier) Garrett, 89, passed away at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

She was born in Tell City on July 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Louis and Emily (Goffinet) Rogier.

Evelyn Rogier was united in marriage on September 2, 1947 to Paul Garrett, who precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death is her brother, Shirley Rogier, and granddaughter, Luann Garrett.

Surviving are her companion, Gene Stephens of Rockport, IN; son, Ron Garrett and wife Cleda, of Rockport, IN; daughter, Patti Burton and husband Clark, of Akron,OH; grandchildren, Jessica Hoehler (Mark), Rhonda Garrett (Chris Blake) and Paige Burton; great-grandchildren, Lynnzi, Mati, Garrett, Sydney and Haley.

Funeral services will be at 2pm CST Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, 920 10th St. Tell City, IN. Visitation will be from 9am until service time. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
