Evelyn Gengelbach Obituary

Evelyn "Hedgie" Gengelbach, 94, passed away February 5, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Tell City, Indiana.

She was born April 21, 1923 to Carl and Recie (Goatley) Gengelbach in Spencer County, Indiana.

Evelyn was a graduate of Troy High School and retired from General Electric. She also worked at the Bruggenschmidt Store and the Dauby Store. Evelyn was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge and enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader, fishing, traveling, and watching high school sports.

Surviving are her niece and nephews, Lee Gengelbach (Libby), Joe Gengelbach (Shannon), and Norma Marshall; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; siblings, Victor Gengelbach and Greta Wittman; and niece, Ruth Ann Cunningham.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 10 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor JT Hills will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to Service Time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Church of Christ.
