Evelyn Shoemaker Obituary
Evelyn Shoemaker, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Core Nursing Home in Dale, IN. She was born in Fordsville, KY on July 26, 1928 to the late Thomas and Florence (Poole) McManaway. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Stanley; and sisters, Nellie Davis and Mildred McManaway.
Evelyn was retired from General Electric and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 213 and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading.
Surviving are her children, Janice Ball of Tell City, IN and Steve (Sherry) Shoemaker of Killeen TX; sister, Lula Bell Chaney of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Jay and Richard Ferry and Brian Shoemaker; great grandchildren, Rayleen, Leah Rose, Drew and Mike Ferry
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Dea Goud will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 PM- 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until Service time at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Auxiliary or the VFW Auxiliary.
