Flora Hempfling Howe, 95, passed away March 29, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born March 28, 1922 to Chester and Provie Pate Bolton in Dundee, Kentucky.
Flora was united in marriage to John F. Hempfling on September 30, 1940.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Ralph Hempfling (Regina) of Tell City, Patricia Miller (Ken) of Boonville, Carolyn Baugh (Jim) of Newburgh, Johnny Hempfling, Jr. of Tell City, Linda Albin (Steve) of Grandview, Bonnie Schnerr (David) of Evansville, Shirley Robbins (Mark) of Tell City, Jerry Hempfling (Martha) of Ferdinand, Larry Hempfling of Jasper, and Diane Litkenhus (Steve) of Chrisney. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 11 great, great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Hempfling and Ed Howe; brothers, William and Almon Bolton; and sister, Leona Roark.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 1 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home
with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery. Andrea Hempfling Keller will officiate.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 31 from 2 – 8 pm and from Noon – 2 pm Saturday
at the funeral home.
