Frances Berger

Frances Elizabeth Berger, 59, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Woodlands in Newburgh.

She was born May 18, 1957 in Tell City, IN.

Frances was a client at SIRS in Tell City for many years. She belonged to the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to SPRED and was a client at WFI in Newburgh for 7 years when she lived with her sister and brother-in-law.

Frances enjoyed traveling with her sister and brother-in-law, going out to eat, shopping, playing in her puzzle books, coloring, and being with family. She also enjoyed swimming, singing songs, dancing and riding 4 wheelers. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved having birthdays. Frances touched many lives throughout her life, giving nothing but unconditional love to everyone she met.

Surviving are her sister, Virgilee (Forrest Kevin) Jackson of Boonville; her brother, Paul (Sandy) Berger of Cannelton; nieces and nephews, Eugenia (Rob) Retter, Deborah Jackson, Jeff (Mandy) Jackson and Brandon Berger; great-nieces and nephew, Katelyn and Kevin Retter and Aubrey Jackson; and numerous cousins.

Frances was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Berger on April 7, 1992 and most recently by her mother Clara (Schmidt) Berger on May 8, 2016.

Special thanks to the staff at Golden Living Center-Woodlands in Newburgh for their care and love for Frances during the last two years. Also thanks to Deaconess VNA Hospice for their care with Frances the last few weeks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon CST Monday, June 27, 2016 at St. Paul Church in Tell City. Father Sengole Thomas G will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-6pm and Monday 10-11:30am at the funeral home.
