Frederick M. Evrard, 77, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.
Fred was born in Tell City on October 3, 1937 to the late Frederick C. Evrard and Shirley (Pyle) Mathena.
Fred was a Marine veteran and he retired from Kimball after 31 years. He was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Surviving are his children, Angela Evrard-Hamric of Owensboro, Lisa Evrard-Hauser of Tell City, Frederick Evrard, Jr. (Rebecca) of Tell City, Jerry Evrard of Tell City and Jeffery Evrard of Tell City; step father, Harold Mathena of Tell City; sisters, Carolyn Adams (Larry) of Tell City and Martha Lehmkuhler (Bill) of Tell City; step brothers, Hal Mathena of Houston, TX and Dennis Mathena of Newburgh; five grandchildren, Evan and Ashley Wettstain, Nicholas and Lindsay Hauser and Adam Evrard; two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Josephine (Lasher) Evrard, and a brother, Allen Evrard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. Pius Catholic Church. Rev. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Troy, with military rites. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:30-9:30AM CST at the funeral home.
