Gilbert Patmore Obituary

Gilbert Patmore, 82, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital.

He was born in Troy, IN on April 3, 1931 to the late William and Mary Ethel (Powers) Patmore. Also preceding him in death are siblings, William "Jiggs", Bernard, Earl, Garland, Carl, Isaac "Zeke" Patmore, Hazel Jarboe, Jackie VanWinkle, Lucie Stevens and Alta Mae Hawhee.

Gilbert was an Army veteran and was retired from Commonwealth Aluminum. He was married on May 29, 1982 to Pat Long. A member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, he enjoyed being with family, hunting and playing horseshoes.

Survived by his wife, Pat (Long) Patmore of Cannelton, IN; children, Gilbert Patmore, Jr. of Schererville, IN and William Patmore of Tell City; step children, Ron Carver of Greenwood, IN and Julie Morris of Cannelton, IN; grandson, Matthew Patmore, five step-grandchildren, Brandon Morris, Gunner Carver, Kristen Morris, Erich Carver and Tehya Daugherty; one step great-grandchild, Shayleigh Brown.



Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 3, 2013at 2:00 PM CST at Pleasant View Baptist Church in McQuady, KY. Pastor J. Dale Massengale will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday from Noon until service time at the church.
