Gladys L. Hagan, 92, of Evanston, passed away August 18, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, with family at her bedside.
Gladys was born in Tell City, IN on June 30, 1924 to the late Stephen and Anna Montgomery.
She was a 1942 graduate of Tell City High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, John T. Hagan.
Gladys is survived by her children; sons, Larry Hagan, Leslie "Les" Hagan and Jim Hagan, all of Evanston, IN, daughters, Mary Anna Ward (Edward) of Rockport, IN, Janice Marie Farmer (Michael) of Winston-Salem, NC and Karan Sue Thomas (Joe) of Huntingburg, IN; brother, Louis Montgomery (Marian) of West Allis, WI; grandchildren, Mark Ward (JayAre) of Grand Rapids, MI, Jennifer Ward (fiance, Kevin) of Indianapolis, James Hagan (Season) of Hawesville, KY and Gretchen Neighbors (Kurt) of Huntingburg, IN; great-grandson, Grayson Ward; a nephew, Stephen Montgomery (Carrie) of Franklin, Wi; and niece, Gail Montgomery Jeske of West Allis, WI.
The family would like to extend thanks to the nursing staff at St. Mary's Medical Center and to Gentiva Hospice, who were so kind and compassionate.
Funeral services will be at 2PM CST on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Newtonville.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3-8 PM CST and Sunday Noon until service time at the funeral home.
