Helen Humston Obituary

Helen Louise Humston, 82, formally of Tell City, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at her home in Advance, NC.

She was born in Mt. Vernon, IN on February 7, 1932 to Pete and Violet (Acord) Lilleston. Also preceding her indeath is her husband, Richard Humston; a son, Butch Humston; granddaughter, Rachel Ray; sisters, Liddy and Antoinette Lilleston and Betty Springer; a brother, Arnold Boyer; and her dog Harry.

Helen loved gardening, painting, making dolls, writing songs and poetry. She was also an avid dog lover, "Harry" being her latest and best.Surviving are her daughters, Sherri Ray and Sharon Humston; grandchildren, Richard and Jessica Anderson; five sisters and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. Barnabas Gillepsie, OSB will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
