She was born in New Boston on July 24, 1931 to Robert and Edith (Puertzer) Foerster.
Imogene was united in marriage on November 4, 1947 to Frank Sergesketter, who preceded her in death in December 2010. She retired in 1989 from General Electric after 36 years, was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and bingo at the the Oaks Senior Citizen Club in Cannelton.
Surviving are her children, Cheryl Wetzel of Tell City, IN, Danny (Sarah) Sergesketter of Jasper, IN, Kathy (Stan) McDaniel of Bloomington, IN and Lynn (Joe) Goss of Evansville, IN; a brother, Arcene Foerster of New Boston; a sister, Arlene Mulzer of New Boston; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Robert and Edith Foerster; infant sister, Dorothy; and grandson, Kevin Wetzel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. CST, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy. Father Sengole Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Chrysostom Church Cemetery, New Boston. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. CST and Wednesday from 8:30-9:15 A.M. CST.
