Irene Lawalin Obituary
Irene Lawalin, 74, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Golden Living Center. She was born November 4, 1937 to the late Homer and Gertrude (Criss) Anderson.
Irene was married on January 21, 1961 to Walter "Curt" Lawalin, who preceded her in death in October 2004. Also preceding her in death is grandson, Zachary Brinksneader.
Irene was a member of Tell City Church of Christ and she enjoyed sewing, dancing, playing euchre and reading.
Surviving are her children, Faye (Denny) Schwartz of Rome, IN, Donald (Vicki) Lawalin of Tell City, IN, Mike (Paula) Lawalin of Daphne, AL, "Buck" Kevin (Mary) Lawalin of Cannelton, IN and Mary Kay ( Randy) Brinksneader of Tell City, IN; sister, Helen Blessinger of Evansville, IN; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. John Adams will officiate. Burial will follow in Lilly Dale Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 PM and Wednesday from 8:30AM until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cannelton Fire Dept.
