Irene Roach Obituary

Irene Roach, 93, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Perry County, IN on May 29, 1920. She was a 1938 graduate of Tell City High School. Irene and her husband, Raymond, owned and operated the Double R Bar in Troy. She was also in charge of the craft room at the Cannelton Senior Citizens for several years. She enjoyed making crafts, bingo, playing cards and the many pets she had over the years.

She is survived by her daughter, Zina Kelley of Boonville, IN.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Raymond Roach; a son, Richard Roach; parents, Henry and Nora (Hicks) Spath; son-in-law, Dennis Kelley; and a brother, Irvin Spath.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. CST Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
