Jeanne Fischer, 80, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
She was born April 13, 1934 to the late Edwin and Selma (Huebschman) Lorenz. Also preceding her in death is her daughter, Jennifer Fischer and a brother, Ralph Lorenz.
Jeanne was married on September 24, 1952 to Lee Fischer, who survives. She had worked for Ress Hardware, Fischer's Shoe Store, Jeanne's Decorating Service, and served as a Perry County EMT. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 214. Jeanne enjoyed crafts, photography, baking, cooking, spending time at their cabin, and being outdoors.
Surviving is her husband, Lee Fischer of Tell City; children, Carrie (Charles) Lucas of Ft. Myers, FL, Clark Fischer of Tell City, Tobie Fischer (David Stockmaster) of Bradenton, FL and Barry (Julie) Fischer of Tell City; a brother, Richard (Kathy) Lorenz of Newburgh; sisters, Betty Rogier of Tell City and Debbie (Jerry) Williams of Richland; five grandchildren, Spencer and Brandon Lucas, Joy Alvey, Jayme Hagedorn-Cox and Danny Blandford; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday, 8:30-9:30AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter.
