Joshua Taylor Ward, 19, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Josh was born in Tell City, IN on July 23, 1997. He was a member of Troy Christian Church. A 2016 graduate of Perry Central High School, Josh was a participant in FFA, Key Club, Captains Club, National Honor Society and played baseball. His plans were to attend Franklin College in the fall and study to be a veterinarian. Josh was actively involved in the Special Olympics, enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends. He was employed with Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, where he was a Crew Leader.
Surviving are his parents, Dave and Kim (Taylor) Ward of St. Marks; a brother, Seth David Ward, at home; grandparents, Joy Taylor, Roy and Jeanette Ward, all of Tell City; aunts and uncles, Lori and Paul Dials, Charles Ward, Michele and Earl Buxton, Sonia and Fred Douglass; a cousin, Lauren Buxton; and girlfriend, Celia Luebbenhusen of St. Henry.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am CST on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 pm and Saturday from 9-10am at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Christian Church Scholarship Fund.
