Kenneth Gene Roberts, 67, of Tell City, Indiana passed away on February 22, 2017.
He was born on July 4, 1949 to the late Kenneth and Nancy Roberts in Lewisport, Kentucky.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn; daughters, Nicole Petulla (Jason), Jennifer Farmer (Jason), and a son, William Anthony Roberts (Ruth Ballenger). He was blessed with three grandchildren; Justin Appell, Madison Farmer, and Kenley Farmer. Three brothers; Dennis Roberts, Tim Roberts, and Kevin Roberts; mother-in-law, Irene Cole; brother-in-laws, Mike and Randy Cole (Lisa); nieces and nephews, Kaycee Harris (Ryan), Arianne Holly, Natalie, Alex and Matthew Cole; and his beloved dog of 17 years, Bailey.
Kenny attended the United Electronics Institute in Louisville following graduation from Hancock County High School in 1967. He spent 40 years working at Southwire Company Kentucky Division as an Electrical Technician. He retired in 2010. He also spent 30 years assisting Carolyn with the daily operation of the Tell City Bowling Center.
Kenny enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States; as well as, relaxing on the beach. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, golfing, following University of Kentucky Basketball, and Nascar.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tell City for 45 years where he served as a Trustee and faithful member of the Famous Barbecue Chicken Crew for the annual soup supper and church picnic.
He loved his country and served with the Army National Guard of Kentucky for six years as a Sergeant E-5.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, February 27 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with entombment following in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 6:00 pm Sunday and from noon to 1:30 pm Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
