Lelan H. Lautner, 90, passed away at Perry County Memorial Hospital on Saturday January 5, 2013.
Lelan was born in Tell City on March 15, 1922, daughter of the late Peter J. and Mathilda (Greulich) Holman. Also preceding her in death are her husband Ervin A. Lautner in 1987, a sister, Evelyn Guillaum and a brother, Lloyd Holman.
She was a 1939 graduate of Tell City High School and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and the American Legion Post #213 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Before retirement Lelan worked at Ken-Rad/GE and Schreiber’s Drug Store.
She is survived by one daughter Karen Overton, Indianapolis; three sons Don Lautner and his wife Francie, Mansfield, TX, Randy Lautner and his wife Carol, Tell City, Kent Lautner and his wife Ida, Evansville; one sister Cyrina Goffinet, Tell City; grandchildren, Susan (Overton) Skinner and her husband Dale and children Joseph and Jeffrey, Monticello, Michelle Overton, Indianapolis, Nick Lautner, West Lafayette and Chris Lautner and his wife Sarah and children Alayna and Drew, Evansville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday January 8, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Fr. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-8PM Monday January 7th and 8am – 9:30am Tuesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. A parish prayer service and D of I memorial service will be held at 6:30pm Monday.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church, Perry County Memorial Hospital or a favorite charity.
