She was born April 16, 1933 to the late Floyd and Clara (Linne) Tuggle. Marian attended Troy schools and retired from General Electric. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, was a U.K. Basketball fan and enjoyed watching tennis, camping, fishing and playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Chip Schulthise of Troy, Dio (Jean) Schulthise of Tell City, Tina (Mike) Gerlach, of Troy, Casey Schulthise of Evanston and Duffy (Angie) Schulthise of Evanston; brothers, Floyd Lee Tuggle of Washington, IN, Bob, Jack, and Pat Tuggle, all of Troy; she was a “Crazy Grandma” to Jason, Jered, Amber and Hannah Schulthise, Kelly Wilkins, Brad and Brian Schulthise, Mallory, Michael Floyd and Tapanga Gerlach, Megan Schulthise, Erin Jo and Isabella Schulthise, Alex O’Brien, Ethan Schulthise; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Floyd and Clara Tuggle; a brother, Donald Tuggle and a sister, Carolyn Tuggle Snyder, and a daughter-in-law, Cara Lynn Schulthise.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at St. Pius Catholic Church. Rev. Thomas Richstutler, OFM, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Troy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and Wednesday 8:30-9:15 A.M. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
