Marie Peter Obituary
Marie I. Peter, 90, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
She was born in Leopold, IN on February 13, 1941 to August and Clara (Goffinet) Wheatley. Marie was united in marriage on May 14, 1946 to the late Fred Peter. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Evansville. An avid gardener, she loved flowers and vegetable gardens and enjoyed fishing with her husband.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Fred Peter on November 29, 1989; brothers, William, Leonard and Albert Wheatley; sister, Myrtle James.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. CST Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 3:00-8:00 P.M. and Thursday 8:30-9:30 A.M. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery.
