Marjorie Rhodes, 86, of Tell City, passed away July 1, 2016 in Belton, Missouri.
Marge was born on November 13, 1929 and was the daughter of Karl and Florence Zoercher.
She was united in marriage to Paul Rhodes on September 18, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1991. Together they raised two children, Patrick and Susan.
Marge was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, was active in the Perry County Memorial Hospital Women’s Auxiliary and an enthusiastic Tell City Library volunteer.
Marge loved celebrating the Christmas and Easter holidays, as well as Schweitzer Fest, with her family. Watching the grandkids color Easter eggs was on of her favorite annual events.
She loved playing euchre, treating her family to annual Hilton Head vacations and other fun destinations, sneaking food to Susan’s dogs, and , of course, the occasional whiskey sour.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Patrick, of Indianapolis, and his wife Melissa and their four children: Allison, Jacob, Christian and Isaac.
As well as her daughter Susan, of Belton, MO, and her husband Rick and their three children: Megan, and her husband Neil, Kevin and Samantha, and of course, Scooter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am CST on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Paul Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be at
Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Friday, July 22 from 6-8 pm, with the rosary prayed immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church or the Perry County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
