Mary Margaret Dickman, 85,died peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Protestant Home in Evansville, IN. A native of Tell City, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. Bartholet and Susan (Eads) Bartholet-Brunner.
Mary graduated from Tell City High School and married her husband of 63 years, Clarence E. (Junior) Dickman, on August 16, 1947, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church of which she was a lifelong member. She was an employee of General Electric for 14 years and housekeeper of St. Paul’s Catholic Church Rectory for 35 years. Mary enjoyed walking, swimming, dancing and needlepoint.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Dickman, Jr; two brothers, Allen Bartholet and Walter Bartholet.
Survivors include three daughters, Michaella S. Sims of Chandler, IN, Marybeth Dickman of Tell City, IN and Christie L. Dickman of Indianapolis; a son, Marty Lee Dickman (Donna) of Dale, IN; three grandchildren, Brandon Sims (Jennifer) of Newburgh, IN, Brianne (Shane) Hammack of Tell City, and Molly Sims of Chandler, IN; three great-grandchildren, Cain and Cooper Sims of Newburgh, IN and Silas Hammack of Tell City, IN; and a sister-in-law, Junko Bartholet of Paron, AK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Rev. John Larry Richardt will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will also be Wednesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
