Mary Ruth King, 86, formally of Tell City went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Kindred Care in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Ranger, IN, Mary worked with the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center for 31 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, Ronald J. (Cheryl) King, daughter, Lana (Don) Bockrath both of Fort Wayne, brother, Leonard (Betty) Doogs of St. Marks, sisters, Helen (Clarence) Wittman of Tell City, Uneda East of Mt. Pleasant, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by parents, John and Minnie Doogs, husband, Delbert King, and brother, Cletus Doogs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM CST, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 8:30-9:30 Saturday at the funeral Home. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
