Pat Richardson Obituary

Lloyd Patrick Richardson, 84, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Lamar, IN on March 17, 1930 to the late Raleigh and Carrie (Kroeger) Richardson. He is also preceded in death by a sister Irene (Leroy) Reitz and a brother, Gene Richardson.

Pat was a 1948 graduate of Dale High School, a 1952 graduate of Purdue and completed his masters in teaching at Indiana University. He was U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Army Security Agency.

He was united in marriage on March 18, 1955 to Helen Schulthise, who survives. Pat taught high school at Troy and Chrisney high schools, and at Tell City Troy Township for a total of 39 years. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Retired Classroom Teachers Association and was Director of Tell City Pony League Baseball for over 20 years. He enjoyed gardening and sports.

Surviving is his wife, Helen Richardson of Tell City; a son, Scott Richardson of Indianapolis; a daughter, Holly Richardson of Tell City; a brother, Clay (Stella) Richardson of St. Peter's, MO; and sister-in-law, Betty Richardson of Newburgh, IN.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM CST Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Evangelical United Church of Christ, followed by a celebration of his life from 5:30-7:30 PM in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richardson Family Scholoarship Fund, established at Fifth Third Bank or towards Parkinson's Research.
