Patricia A. Vaal, 72, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Pat was born August 22, 1942 to the late Charlene (Gerber) and George "Peanuts" Coyle.
On April 4, 1964, Patricia Coyle was united in marriage to Delbert Vaal. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last year.
A homemaker, Pat enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting. She was well known for her crocheted Christmas stockings and angels. She also enjoyed reading and cross word puzzles.
She was a member of St. Meinrad Catholic Church and the Twin Lake Home Ec Club.
Surviving is her husband, Delbert of St. Meinrad; children, Charlotte (Marty) Rogier of Leopold, Michelle (David) Pund of St. Marks, Michael Vaal of Loogootee, and Holly Vaal of St. Marks: brothers, Bob "Peanuts" and David Coyle, both of Tell City; five grandchildren, Zach and Abby Rogier, Rosa and Eli Pund, and Peyton Vaal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. Father Anthony Vinson will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Meinrad Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 2:00 - 8:00 PM CST and Tuesday at church from 8:30AM - 10:00AM CST.
Memorial contributions may be to St. Meinrad Catholic Church for masses.
