Paul Applegate Obituary
Paul Wayne Applegate, 58, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems. He was born in Tell City, IN on July 4, 1954 to the late Wilbur and Emma Lee (Beard) Applegate.
He worked at Best Chairs and was a cook for several restaurants. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking on a campfire, reading the Bible and listening to gospel music. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his children, Greg Howell and his wife, Karen of Tell City and Angela Jennings and husband, Hal of Cannelton; brothers, Daniel and James Applegate, both of Cannelton; sisters, Polly James and Eva Vogt, both of Cannelton and Mary James of Tell City; grandchildren, Kenneth Perry, Trent Jones, Cody, Brandon and Evan Howell and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Linda Applegate and brothers, Dennis in infancy, Charles, Henry and Wilbur Applegate.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. CST on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Gene Marcrum will officiate. Burial will follow in Simon Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and Thursday 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society.
