Pearl Whalen Obituary

Pearl Whalen, 92, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her home.

She was born July 22, 1923 to the late Leona Mullis.

She was a member of St. Paul Church and enjoyed puzzles, bingo and country music.

Surviving are her children, Frank Whale (Mary), Stephen Whalen, John Whalen (Teresa), David Whalen, Norma Deel, all of Tell City, Beth Nix of Ferdinand and Arlene Rauscher (Stan) of Huntingburg; 15 grandchildren, Chuck, Mark, Teresa, Cheryl, Raymond, Shauna, Shawn, Jimi, Dana, Chris, Brad, Candi, Matthew, Andi and Megan and 33 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is her mother; her husbad, Keronis "Frank" Whalen; a daughter, Brenda Gowan; son Michael Whalen; grandchildren, Damien and Lisa Holmes and Cherie Boehman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. CST Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Father Sengole Thomas G. will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-7p.m. And Monday from 9-9:30a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
