Edward Kieser, 84, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his residence near St. Marks, Indiana.
He was born February 10, 1933 to Albert and Marie Baumgart Kieser in Tell City, Indiana.
Edward served in the Army during the Korean Conflict as a Medic and he retired after 39 years from the Tell City Chair Company. He enjoyed gardening, being a handyman, and cooking.
He is survived by his children, Rose Williams of Tell City, Anna Neyenhaus (Paul) of Bristow, Mary Tindle (Ronnie Peter) of Hawesville, KY, Kenny Kieser (Susie) of Derby, Skipper Kieser of St. Marks, Mary Lee Claise (Rick) of Gatchel, Marsha Tayler (Grub) of Tell City, and daughter-in-law, Margie Sommer; sister, Jane Parker of Tell City; grandchildren, Sharon Peter, Jody Payne, Jim McCallister, Daniel Tindle, Josh Tindle, Nolan Tindle, Natasha Newton, Willie Sommer, John Sommer, Katie Sommer, Eli Claise, Miranda Claise, Billy Claise, Adrienne Taylor, and Becca Taylor; and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is his first wife, Sharon and his second wife, Virginia; a son, Billy Sommer; and grandson, Jeremy McCallister; his parents; and two brothers, Jim Kieser and Ronnie Kieser.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St. Marks Catholic Church with burial immediately following in St. Marks Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 pm Tuesday, June 13, and from 8:30 to 9:15 am Wednesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
