Ralph E. Sims, 64, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Tell City.
Ralph was born in Tell City, IN on July 29, 1951.
A 1970 graduate of Cannelton High School, he had worked at Fritz's Gas Station while in school, later owning and operating Ralph's Tire Shop and White Oak Tire Disposal. Ralph enjoyed western movies, working, listening to politics and watching the stock market. He was President of Resident Council at Golden Living Center.
The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at Golden Living Center and AseraCare Hospice.
Surviving is his wife Linda (Williams) Sims of Tell City; a son Brian Sims and wife, Terri of Batesville, IN; a sister, Bonita Gentry and husband, Jim of Poole, KY; step-mother, Joanne Sims of Tell City; five grandchildren; several step- children, step-grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his parents, Ralph Sims and Bernice (Sadler) Sims; a brother, Rodney Sims; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will held at Noon CST on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Brother Gary Merideth will officiate. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
